| This play is from 2004 New Zealand U18 Head Coach Dave Harrison who gave me the privilege of being a selection camp coach. The following year I assisted Dave with the New Zealand U16 team that competed in the 2005 Australian Championships in Canberra. Dave ran X as a set play from dead ball situations or transition into the half court from our fastbreak. If we transition into X from our fastbreak the following two diagrams show how we get ourselves into the correct positions to run X. 2 back screens for 4 who looks to cut to the basket for the score if available and then breaks hard to the wing. 2 pops out after screening to create a passing option for 1.

![]() | Following the screen, 3 flashes into the high post.
![]() | Once we are set the following action occurs. 1 passes to 4 and 2 cuts immediately off 3 going to ballside block. 1 also cuts off 3 and stacks with 5 on the weakside block.
![]() | 4 passes to 3 in the high post and 3 looks to dribble penetrate.
![]() | As 3 receives the ball 1 cuts hard off of 5's ballside shoulder (Georgia Cut), thus clearing out 5's defender for the interior pass from 3 to 5.
![]() | After cutting off 5's shoulder 1 continues to the wing with the assistance of a stagger screen from 2 and 4. This gives 3 the alternative of passing to 1 instead of 5 based on a read of the defence.
![]() | If 3 hits 1, 3 down screens for 2 who comes to the high post looking for the jumpshot.
