Fixing What's Wrong with Shooting

You don't have to watch too many high school, college or pro games to realize that shooting percentages are steadily plummeting from year to year. Missing easy jump shots is so common that it's not considered out of the ordinary anymore. Teams often shoot only 30 to 40 percent from the field for a game and that includes layups and dunks! Play of the Week

King

This continuity set is from New Zealand Junior Tall Ferns who competed in FIBA Oceania qualification games for the Junior World Championships in Adelaide in early August 2008.

I actually got this play originally in 2005 from Leonard King who was a mentor for me on a tour to Australia. After the tour I then ran this play with my U16 Canterbury team, two of which played for the New Zealand Junior Tall Blacks at the Adelaide tournament.

Peer Evaluation Test

This is another test I received from one of my players who is heading over to the US to play Div 3 college basketball in New York. His new coach sent him a summer workout program and I lukily received a copy. I thought this was a great idea to help with the end of year reveiw and to get an idea of how the players perceive each other and themselves.
